DIY Bath Bomb Bonanza!

Theresa H., South Bend

My daughter and I have made bath bombs before with limited success. The most memorable example is when we tried to make Harry Potter bath bombs that were supposed to reveal your house colors when submerged in water. Unfortunately, the color was visible even before dropping them in the bath and when we did use them, they just sunk like a big rock. There was still fizzing though and they did at least smell good. We decided to try this project again and had much better results. This little spray bottle was part of the reason for our success. If you have ever purchased a travel bottle kit one of these is usually included. I never knew what to use it for (until now!)! It allows you to add just enough moisture without the ingredients fizzing up. We also used cupcake pans/liners instead of round molds and this helped the mixture stay together while drying.
